team [tēm] noun a group of people that come together specifically to achieve a common goal.

Team vs. Solitary

I am a strong believer in the necessity of team to accomplish any project of worth

This belief is the basis for establishing and building relationships.

If we can agree that team is important, we are ready to move on to the next step.

Note that I feel there are 3 reasons to hold a belief in the importance of team.

  1. Observational: Functional teams get more done (the overall value is greater than the sum of their parts)
  2. Pragmatic: as a member of a functional team you don't have to specialize in everything
  3. Theological: There are many references we could pull from - this is one - "a threefold cord is not quickly broken"Ec 4:12
